debt dilemma

Vouchers

Posted by: aulelia on: March 23, 2009

On Sat, I went out to Pizza Express with a friend of mine. I know what you are thinking, I should be saving my pennies. But get this, I had a voucher!

My £10 off voucher if we spent more than £30 meant that my friend and I spent £10.35 on a pizza, drink, and a dessert.

I must say I am proud that I learning the usage and importance of hanging onto vouchers! Does anyone else use vouchers?

I don’t use vouchers simply because the ones i get given are all vouchers for Mac Donald’s burgers/sundae/ french fries AND vouchers for buy-one-pizza-get-another-one-for-free.
And since i’m trying to lose weight, I just don’t use those vouchers. Haha.
Speaking of pizza, I ate 2 slices of pizza (ham-cheese-tomato) today at lunch. I bought it at the supermarket. I’ve found that the only way for me to eat pizza without overeating ( I can eat a whole pizza all by myself) is to buy by slices. It cost me about 4 euros. Had I bought a whole pizza (still at the same supermarket), it would have cost me around the same price…BUT I would have packed the calories and the fats, as I would have certainly eaten the whole thing today.

Also, I’m overdrawn by 55 euros because I bought a sports bra today. Now, I have no excuse not to not use my stepper and this strange apparel I bought 2 months ago (it’s called ‘leg magic”) I bought those two things in december 2008, stored them in the kitchen and basically forgot to use them. LOL.
And I’m going to be further overdrawn since I have to send some unsolicited applications letter by saturday.

The only thing that console me is that it’s all money spent for the good cause. Sometimes, you just have to spend money to feel better ( = spending money on sports bra + apparels = toned body = more self-confidence, more good mood) or spend money to actually win some ( spending money on sending resume and letters = if you land the job : money in your pockets). LOL.

@kimi, omg we must be on the same planet because I had to buy a bra last weekend as well. I went to John Lewis on Sunday and spent £20 on a bra. I was wearing the wrong size for a year!!

and I do agree with spending money for good causes like preparing for your career etc. That’s important.
